How Our Marketing Clarity Audit Works

Our Marketing Clarity Audit is a full review of your SEO, paid media, and/or email marketing. It costs a fixed fee, and takes two weeks. If you move into a retainer afterward, the fee is credited against your first month.

Kick-Off Call

We start with a short call to understand your business: what you sell, who buys it, what's changed recently, and what prompted our audit. This shapes where we look first.

2

Account & Data Review

We go into your SEO, paid media, and email accounts directly. Not the dashboards alone, but the campaign structure, site data, and historical performance. We're checking for spend that isn't earning its place, technical issues holding your site back, and gaps between what your channels are doing and what your customers are doing.

3

Customer & Funnel Review

We map how people find you, what they do before they buy, and where they drop off. Channel metrics show you what happened. Funnel behaviour shows you why it happened, and that's usually where our audit earns its fee.

4

Findings & Prioritisation

We pull everything into a 90-day plan, ordered by impact and effort. You see the highest-value fixes first.

5

Walkthrough Call

We talk you through the findings, answer questions, and agree next steps. No slide deck full of jargon. A conversation about what we found and what we'd do about it.

What this looks like in practice.

A homeware brand doing around £1.2m a year (we'll call them Harlow & Bea) was running paid social, Google Ads, email, and a blog. Revenue had plateaued despite steady spend. Our audit found three things worth acting on.

Meta Ad Spend — Before & After

Cold Prospecting Retargeting Email Flows

20% freed from cold prospecting, redistributed to retargeting and email. Total Meta spend reduced.

SEO.

Most product pages had no structured data, and the blog was ranking well for topics unrelated to what Harlow & Bea sold. Traffic looked healthy. Almost none of it converted.

Paid Media.

Around 40% of the Meta budget was going into cold prospecting aimed at broad audiences. The data showed most revenue came from returning customers reached through email and retargeting. We recommended cutting the prospecting spend in half and moving the difference into retargeting and a better post-purchase email flow. That meant spending less on Meta overall.

Email.

The only flow running was a generic 10%-off welcome email. There was no abandoned cart sequence and no post-purchase follow-up, despite email being the strongest-performing channel already.

The existing budget just needed pointing at what was already working, not increasing.

What you get at the end

  • A written summary of every finding, in plain language.
  • A 90-day plan, ordered by priority.
  • The walkthrough call to talk it through.
  • A clear view of where to spend, where to stop, and what to fix first.

If it makes sense to keep working together after that, we'll talk about a retainer. If it doesn't, you keep the plan.

Questions worth asking.

If something isn't covered here, get in touch.

Is the audit fee refundable?

No. It's a fixed fee for the review itself, not a deposit toward future work. If you move into a retainer afterward, we credit it against your first month.

How long does our audit take?

Two weeks from the kick-off call to the walkthrough call.

Do you only review Meta and Google Ads, or all paid channels?

We review whatever paid media you're currently running. For most clients that's Meta and Google Ads, but we'll look at any platform where you're spending.

Will you tell us to spend less?

When the data supports it, yes. The Harlow & Bea example above is a real pattern we see often: budget going into channels that look active but aren't where the revenue comes from.

What happens if we don't want to continue after our audit?

Nothing. You keep the written findings and the 90-day plan either way. There's no obligation to move into a retainer.

Is this only for certain business sizes?

Our audit works best for eCommerce brands doing roughly £500k to £2m a year. Outside that range, get in touch, and we'll tell you honestly whether it's the right fit.
